Disc Burner
Solution Overview
The PACStacks Disc Burner Appliance is a product line that provides automated disc burning capabilities to easily create stunning CDs or DVDs for referring physicians or patients. The appliance uses a disc publishing robot to uniquely label discs. Published discs can include the full-fidelity images, DICOM DIR, diagnostic report, multiple viewers and more.
SENCOR's Disc Burner Appliance solution starts with a DICOM server control center. This DICOM server is the communication link to your acquisition modalities. Walk up to the computer, pull up the simple-to-use web page on the screen and query for studies in your facility. Even easier, you can send exams to the control center (over the network) directly from your scanners, workstations or PACS.
Whether from the embedded web page or automatically from your scanner, a job is created and transferred to the Disc Publisher Robot.

Once a job is created, the disc publisher robot takes over. SENCOR supports a wide range of robots that serve a variety of budget and throughput needs. These disc publishers vary in size from a small inkjet printer to a small refrigerator.
Disc publisher robots take stacks of blank inkjet printable or thermal recordable discs. Typically, these discs cannot be found at your local technology store, but are available from a number of manufacturers.
After the discs are written, they are labeled with patient demographics. Each disc is serialized and unique. Discs can be labeled with just text, text and logo or text, logo and photo-quality artwork.
Both inkjet and thermal discs are available with a water-resistent, glossy finish.
Discs can include a start page (that walks referring physicians through the disc), the full-fidelity DICOM images, DICOM DIR, one or more DICOM viewers, diagnostic report and other non-DICOM files you may want to include (e.g., video, audio, etc.).
