Sencor gave me three operating modes, or functions if you like: heating water to 100 °C, heating to a temperature of your choice (60-70-80-90-100 °C), and keeping your chosen temperature for two hours. At 100 °C you can brew a proper black, fruit or herbal tea. At 90 °C you'll make perfect coffee or an instant soup. The 80 and 70 °C settings are ideal for white and green tea. I have a quality STRIX connector and a stainless steel base

I'd just recommend descaling me more often if you switch me on more than three times a day. All you'll need for that is a bit of readily available citric acid or white vinegar.
