Single SuperConductor Cooktop

The SCP 5010SS SuperConductor single hotplate offers many advantages over its competitors thanks to the ceramic heating element technology used. Thanks to them, the hotplate can boast a very low height, the body of the hotplate itself is only 2,5 cm high. Even with the legs, it fits within a height of 3 cm.

The battery of ceramic heating elements under the hotplate heats up very quickly, in just one minute the hotplate reaches 500°C, reaching a maximum of 100 degrees higher in 2 minutes. The heat distribution is uniform and the hotplate provides a constant temperature in continuous heating. And that's handy, but it's not the norm.  Its speed is similar to cooking on induction cookers, but it removes a major disadvantage of induction – it does not need special cookware. This hotplate will cook in glass, even on an aluminium pan.

Hi-tech technology is combined with a matching design, this hotplate will not put your kitchen to shame. It's been thought out in every detail. For example, the hot surface warning is provided by a coloured ring on the hotplate – once the surface is above 65°C, the ring lights up to warn of a possible burn hazard. The stainless steel surface of the hotplate is easy to clean. Thanks to its dimensions, the hotplate is very portable.

You don't have to worry about the other common problem with induction cookers – noise. The SCP 5010SS was designed with maximum quietness in mind. Although its high power output means that its internal parts must be actively ventilated, it is quiet.

6 Preset Modes Available

Easily select the desired cooking mode at the touch of a button. Of course, you can always adjust the cooking time and power easily.

Stir-fry

a method of cooking in which ingredients are fried in a small amount of very hot oil with constant stirring, typically in a wok. This technique is most often associated with the preparation of Asian cuisine. Within a short while, the hotplate is heated to a maximum temperature of up to 600°C. The hotplate maintains a high performance as long as it is switched on.

Deep-fry

deep-frying, a heat treatment of food similar to frying, but the food is completely immersed in hot oil (a lot of oil is needed).  Preparation is then more even and faster. With this method of cooking, it is easier to control the temperature of the oil bath and it is easier to prevent the oil from burning. For example, rapeseed oil, which has a higher smoke point and can withstand higher temperatures, is more suitable for such food preparation. In this mode, the hotplate runs at full power for 1 minute to quickly reach a temperature of 480–500°C. It then reduces the power to 900 W for 7 minutes. Then it reduces the power again, to 750 W, and maintains it until the end of cooking to reach the optimum oil temperature for frying.

Fry

frying, a method of cooking in which food is fried in a large amount of fat at a high temperature for an extended period of time. The result is a crispy texture. Suitable for roasting / frying for example meat, vegetables.
In this mode, the hotplate runs at full power for 1 minute to quickly reach a temperature of 380°C. It then reduces the power to 900 W for 7 minutes. Then it reduces the power again, to 750 W, and maintains it until the end of cooking to reach the optimum oil temperature for frying.

Simmer

stewing, a technique of preparing food by cooking in hot liquids (water) kept just below the boiling point of water. To create a steady boil, the liquid is brought to a boil and then its heat source is reduced to a lower, constant intensity. For the first 15 minutes, the hotplate runs at full power to quickly reach the desired bath temperature, then reduces the power to half and maintains it until the end of the cooking process.

Boil

a mode suitable for heating water, for example for cooking pasta. The hotplate maintains maximum power for 30 minutes / or until switched off to bring the water to the boil in the shortest possible time. The temperature of the hotplate reaches the maximum temperature at all times.

Keep warm

a mode suitable for warming food. The aim is to heat the hotplate to 150 °C and maintain the temperature constantly. For the first minute, the mode sets the power value to 300 W, then just maintains the achieved temperature at 150 W until switching off.
