Easy gingerbread with marmalade

Possessing a wonderful aroma, irresistible moist gingerbread with a beautiful colour.

Ingredients:

 
  • 2 glasses of plain flour
  • 1 glass of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 125 g margarine (melted and cooled down)
  • 250 g plum marmalade
  • 1 glass of milk
  • 2 tsp cocoa
  • 2 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • butter for spread
  • ½ glass of plum marmalade for spreading

Coating
  • 100 g dark chocolate (min. 60 % cocoa )
  • 50 g butter
Easy gingerbread with marmalade

Preparation:


Turn on the oven and set to 180⁰C degrees. Spread butter on a baking tray.
Put an egg and sugar into a food processor and whisk until white.
While whisking, gradually add margarine, plum marmalade, milk, cocoa, baking soda, gingerbread spice and, lastly, a little flour. Whisk until smooth.

Place mixture into a baking tray and put into the oven. Bake for 50 - 60 minutes or until the stick remains dry. Take out from the oven and set aside to cool down, take out from a baking tray, cut in half, spread plum marmalade evenly and put both pieces together.

To prepare the coating, melt chocolate together with butter in a water bath or melt in microwave and stir thoroughly, then evenly pour onto the gingerbread.
