This is the successor to the popular SKS 707x range of smart kitchen scales. The successful and unique foundation remains unchanged, while the evolution of the SKS 717x series has brought enhanced weighing capacity – now allowing measurement of up to 8 kg. We have modified the way the scale is activated by introducing a new ON/OFF button. Additionally, we have removed the liquid volume measurement function (which, in reality, is rarely used) so that the previously combined button now serves a single purpose – weighing additional ingredients / TARE function.

By the way, the Sencor FOOD app was developed in collaboration with the authors of the popular Calorie Tables app.
The Bluetooth connection between the scale and your phone is perfectly fast, intuitive and easy. You'll see the weighed weight almost immediately on your smartphone display (no matter if you prefer Android or iOS devices). Then all you have to do is search the database for what you weigh and you know how much sugar, fat, energy...
Don't worry – our Sencor FOOD app can help you find specific food items – it can read/scan EAN barcodes on food packaging. This code is on every package and is unique. You will achieve maximum speed and elegance of use. In addition, you will always be sure that you have the nutritional data for the guaranteed right food.
TARA function for food weighing
When you bake your favourite pie, you'll want to know the totals for the whole recipe, but you definitely won't want to count the bowl in which you weigh each ingredient. Our clever TARA function will help you with this.- Place the empty container on the scale. Pressing TARA button will reset the value to zero. And the “T” symbol will light up.
- Put the first food into the container. The display will show its weight. Pressing the TARA button will reset the value and the “T” symbol lights up. The weight of the first food is stored in the memory and the scale is ready for further weighing.
- Put another food item in the container. The display will show its weight. Press the TARA button to display the sum of the weight of the first and second ingredient. Pressing TARA again saves the sum to memory and resets the display to zero. The “T” symbol remains lit.
- Add more ingredients in the same way up to the maximum weight capacity (8000 g).
Sencor FOOD app
The scale is equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology, which in conjunction with the free Sencor FOOD app installed on your smart phone offers direct access to a rich and regularly updated database of foods and their nutritional values.The Sencor FOOD app was developed in collaboration with the creators of the Calorie Tables / Dine4Fit app and is designed for smartphones running iOS or Android. When using the app, the phone must be connected to the internet.
The connection of the scale to the phone takes place automatically after starting the application. To pair, it is sufficient for the Bluetooth function to be turned on on the smart device. If the app does not find the scale, it will actively prompt you to try to reconnect the scale.
Note: The scale can only connect to one mobile phone at a time. If you have problems with pairing, make sure that there is no other device within reach that is actually actively connected to the scale.
The app offers two weighing modes:
- “On the Scale” mode – displays the weight of the item currently being weighed. After you tell the scale what food you weigh using the “Search Food” field or by scanning the barcode, it will display the nutritional values of the food in relation to the current weight.- “List” mode – allows you to determine the aggregate nutritional value of more food. This mode is useful, for example, when preparing a dish according to a recipe. Gradually add the food to the scale, using the “Search Food” field to enter what food it is. Once you have determined the weight and type of food, use the “+ Add food to list” button to add it to the total nutritional sum. Use the /TARA button on the scale for adding to weight as needed during weighing. The scale continuously shows the total weight of the ingredients and calculates the weights of the individual nutritional components (for example, how many grams of carbohydrates the weighed food contains in total) throughout the weighing in the “List” mode.
Note: in “List” mode, the scale can weigh negative values as well. What does it mean? Here's an example: you put a cup of yoghurt on the scale and use TARA function on its weight. You take out the required amount, the display shows a negative value, i.e. the weight of the yoghurt taken out, which ended up in the recipe you are preparing. Press the “+ Add food to list” button to add the minus item to the List. However, the weight and nutritional parameters are recorded in a positive value.
The Sencor FOOD app works with national food databases that contain food that is actually available and continuously updated for the region. Databases are currently available for the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine and Russia. An English version is also available.
And how to find food? You can manually type its name into the search bar, but it's much faster and easier to scan the barcode from the package. It's all , a matter of moments, plus you'll be sure you've really selected the right weighted food and the nutritional values will be as accurate as possible.
And because the Sencor FOOD app is really tightly integrated with the Calorie Tables app, you can write your food in your Calorie Tables menu at the end of the weigh-in with one click, giving you a long-term overview of your food intake (some advanced Calorie Tables features may incur a fee).
